Do You Have the Basic Skills You Need?

This story was linked to over on Digg, so many of you may already have seen it. But, for those that haven't here's the gist: according to this little article, typically a job may see 200 applicants, but only one gets hired. However, most of those 200 applicants may not even be able to do the basic programming that is required of them. Apparently, employers will be lucky to find one out of 200 that can write a simple loop. So, all you "coders" out there, be sure you know the basics of all the languages on your resume so you can be the one that shines. Or even simply looks competent.
