New Job!

I'm starting a new job on Monday, September 17th! I am leaving American Family after working there for seven years as a contractor through Spherion. While it has been a pleasant experience, after that long of a time as a contractor at essentially the same position it's clear that it would be very unlikely I'd get hired on as a full time employee.

The job at my new workplace, Sentry Insurance, will be, to start, basically the same. I'll be doing automated testing in Test Partner for their Non-standard auto applications. However, in addition to script development, I'll be a team lead for a small group, probably 2, testers who will handle actually running the scripts. Hopefully, this will lead to more team leadership opportunities and even management.

The new position carries a fairly hefty pay increase and actual benefits. The health coverage looks fantastic, and the 401k is matched dollar for dollar up to 6%. I'm looking forward to actually having a retirement fund.
